Voordracht tijdens de feestelijke opening van de expositie SISTERHOOD

This summer, Museum the Treasure of Simpelveld will host the exhibition SISTERHOOD. It is an exhibition about six different women - sisters, artists - from six different time periods within the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. These women each faced the challenges that came with being women in their own time. All of these women made art that reflected, to varying degrees, on those challenges. Six contemporary women poets, including me, have written a poem from their perspective about the art of these women, the choices they made or did not make, and the opportunities they had or the limitations they faced.
