How do you find words for the untranslatable and how can that search enrich Dutch? Supervisors Amber-Helena Reisig and Moni Zwitserloot and participants Emine Ünal and Ahmed Radwan of the Schrijfwerkplaats, led by Marjolein Visser, discuss how a text is created, which choices were made and why, and how language acquisition leads to language enrichment. Participants also read from their own work.
De Schrijfwerkplaats (The Writing Workshop) is creative writing for people learning Dutch, aimed at people with a refugee or migration background who have a serious interest in being a maker. The emphasis is on artistic development and connection to Wintertuin's network of (literary) organisations, festival stages and young makers.
